우리는 일에 얽힌 상대를 서로 존중하며 유의미한 의견을 주고 받는 건강한 의사 소통을 할 때도 많지만, 맥락과 관계 없는 일방향적인 의견을 받으며 전문성을 인정받지 못하는 상황에 놓이기도 한다. 어떻게 하면 그들이 나의 전문성을 인식하게 할 수 있을까? 디자이너가 가진 능력 전문성에 대한 신뢰를 재빨리 형성할 수 있는 방법이 있다면 상대를 설득하기 위해 필요한 시간과 비용을 조금이라도 줄일 수 있지 않을까? 보자마자 단번에 납득할 수 있는 최고의 디자이너 인증서가 있다면 어떨까? 디자이너라는 직업에 대한 공신력을 획득할 수 있는 외형적 표상에 대해 질문을 던진다.
Many times we have healthy communication with the other party through mutual respect and meaningful opinion sharing, while at times end up being told to follow one-way opinions regardless of the context with our expertise unappreciated How can we make them recognize our expertise? If there is a quick way to build trust in our ability and expertise as a designer, wouldn’t it be possible to save time and cost spent to persuade the other? What if we have a kind of certificate for the best designer so that anyone would be convinced right away as soon as they see it? Kim poses questions regardin external representations to earn public confidence
in the profession of a designer.
